2026 Friendship Meeting Student Group Activism Grant - Deadline September 21

Friendship Friends Meeting is offering a mini-grant of $600 to a group of college students in Guilford County to organize and work to Get Out the Vote on November 3, 2026.

The grant aims to help students gain experience in organizing and promoting democracy.  This year’s focus is “Get Out the Vote. “ Student groups can be of any or no religious affiliation. 

The grant is available to a group rather than an individual, and the money is to be used to carry out the group’s project[s].  Students applying for the Friendship Friends grant must submit specific information about their planned project—see below.  Recipients will be asked to submit a final budget account and to report at a Forum at Friendship Friends Meeting with an honest assessment of outcomes and comments on what was learned doing the project.

  Applications are due by Monday, September 21, 2026 and should be emailed to Will Rogers, willyrogers@gmail.com .  Questions and requests for application forms may be directed there as well. You will receive notice that week if your application has been accepted.

Your grant project description must include the following:

 (a)    name of your project and group               (d)   proposed outcomes

 (b)    number of people involved                         (e)   estimated results

 (c)    activities to address the problem              (f)   main budget items

Please limit applications, including cover page (see application form), to fewer than three pages.
